Medical Records

The practice is often asked for information about patients from insurance companies or solicitors. On no account will any information be given without the patient's written consent. Information about a patient's medical condition will only be passed to other health professionals to help with treatment. Staff at the surgery have access to personal information on a need-to-know basis only and are bound by rules relating to patient confidentiality.

Mobile Phones

We ask our patients to switch off mobile telephones before entering a doctor or nurse consulting room.

GP Average Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (eg., average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Holmcroft Surgery in the last financial year was £57,441 - before Tax and National Insurance.

This is for the following, who worked in the practice for more than six months.

Full Time GPs: 3, Part Time GP: 3, Salaried GP: 2, Locum GP: n/a

Disclaimer: NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised, and the required disclosure is shown above. However it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
